Ngurunderi showed my people how to make fish traps and fish nets, back in the dream time. Some of the old stone fish traps are still there, in the Coorong. Some have been vandalised by people as well. that makes us sad. Ngurunderi showed us how to get fish, how to hunt, how to live on our land. Ngurunderi, along with his family members and Pondi, the big Murray cod and made all of the Ngarrindjeri country, the land, rivers and all the landforms. He showed us how to live on the land, he gave us the lore, dance and everything we need to live.
