Our NAIDOC Week collection features our talented collaborating artists' reflection on and response to this year's theme ‘The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy’.
Jarowair artist Charlie Chambers Jnr has carved a legacy in the art world and his latest NAIDOC piece is no exception. With its intricate dot work and x-ray art styles, his artwork tells the story of the legacy we leave behind in the hearts and minds of those we love. “I put the footprints on the side here because while we’re on the Earth, we pass that knowledge on to the next generation and keep that strength alive.” - Charlie
Made from light, breezy chiffon, these shawls drape beautifully, creating a soft and graceful silhouette without adding weight or bulk. The fabric catches the light as you move, enhancing the vibrant colours of the artwork and making it the perfect statement piece for any occasion.
Designed in a generous one-size fit, our shawls feature discreet armholes that ensure a secure and flattering drape, allowing you to move freely while maintaining a polished look. Whether layered over casual wear or paired with an evening ensemble, this shawl offers both versatility and charm, making it a staple for any wardrobe.

Story:
Leaving Footprints
When we come into the world, we come in with nothing on our backs and when we leave we take nothing. All we leave behind is our memories and our footprints.
In the centre, we have the mother and the baby. I put the footprints on the side here because while we’re on the Earth, we pass that knowledge on to the next generation and keep that strength alive. And the next generation has to stand proud like the emu and the kangaroo. Stand proud because you’re standing on 65,000 years of culture. That’s passed generation to generation from the old people, and we’re keeping their stories alive too.
